Our Program

Belonging, Being, Becoming

Our Program is organised around the National Early Childhood Curriculum Framework (Belonging, Being, Becoming). We use the principles and practices outlined in the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) to guide our planning.

Throughout the year each child is observed and planned for across the five outcomes:

  • Children have a strong sense of identity
  • Children are connected with and contribute to their world
  • Children have a strong sense of wellbeing
  • Children are confident and involved learners
  • Children are effective communicators

For further information regarding the EYLF click HERE.

The program is flexible, recognising that children develop at their own pace and working around things that happen spontaneously. (e.g. the community events and visitors). In following up on the children’s areas of interest we encourage them to explore and work with their own ideas. Excursions are planned to enhance the program and to extend the children’s experiences beyond the Preschool environment.

We like to balance this child-focused approach with attention to the foundation skills and preparation for school. We participate in transition programs with local primary schools.  Profiles are kept for each child, including observations and developmental records.
“We actively seek parental input”.
